Olga S. Popova (Schumacher) is an award-winning composer, songwriter, sound designer, vocalist and pianist based in New York, with a global career spanning film, theatre, animation, and immersive media. Her original music has been featured in productions selected by Cannes, USA Film Festival, and Shanghai’s Golden Dragon Awards, and praised across international press including NBC4, Fox40, and The Industry Times. As a film composer, she has collaborated with Emmy-nominated creatives, Cannes-winning directors, and Billboard-charting artists. As a musical theatre writer, she is the creator of Wayne’s Gun - an award-winning musical which won 5 major awards at New York Theatre Festival including Best Production, Best Score, Best Director, Best Singer and Best Costume. Olga’s recent scoring projects include the award-winning animated series Ginji, the short film I Want to Go There (recorded with the Russian National Symphonic Orchestra), and a collaboration with Nicorette x Spotify. She also contributed music to a Disney documentary about Dr. Jane Goodall, mentored by Emmy-nominated composer Ruth Mendelson. She is the founder of the Excelsior Symphonic Orchestra, a global platform for new music that has performed in legendary venues such as Carnegie Hall, Crocus City Hall, and Vienna’s Hofburg Palace, reaching live audiences of over 10,000.
