high protein golden syrniki with sour cream & jam
Syrniki are not pancakes. They’re made with tvorog/farmer’s cheese, giving them a creamy, tender inside and delicate crumbly texture. Served with sour cream, jam, berries, or condensed milk. Tricky without the right tips — they can fall apart or turn dense.
Many people try to cook Slavic dishes at home, but it’s hard to know what the real recipe should be, how the dough or filling should feel, and what the final dish is actually supposed to taste like. That’s where I can help. In my classes, you’ll learn Slavic comfort food step by step: blini, pelmeni, pirozhki, chebureki, Chicken Kyiv, pies, syrniki, borscht, and more. I’ll show you the small details that make a big difference — how to shape, seal, fry, boil, season, and serve these dishes properly. The goal is not just to follow a recipe once, but to understand the technique, avoid common mistakes, and recreate the same taste again at home. After each live session, you’ll also receive a detailed written recipe so you can make the dish again with confidence.

Tips & Swaps
You need to use dry, firm tvorog/cottage cheese — not a runny one. Otherwise, the syrniki will be hard to shape and may fall apart. The best option is to look for tvorog at a farmers market or in a Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish grocery store.
Preparation
You don’t need to make anything from scratch for this class. But if you enjoy making everything from scratch, or if you can’t find tvorog/cottage cheese in stores, message me and I’ll provide a recipe for making it from whole milk.
